Better template sample
plannedFirst of all typo on "We highly reccomend having many leaders per group. You can do this by adding name and email in pairs on the same row as the group."
Second: I think the template should include multiple name and email pair columns for the not so Excel savvy.
Thanks for the catch. Will do on the template.

Detect if JavaScript is disabled
plannedWhen a user goes to sign up without having JavaScript enabled (for example, if they use the NoScript FF extension)... If they click on, say, a major that's already listed, like Undecided, they will end up at http://rr.redroverhq.com/wizard/user_majors with a 404 error.
I suggest putting something like this at the top of the page if it can't detect JS.
"You have Javascript turned off! Ummm...yeah... I'm gonna have to go ahead and ask you to turn that back on."
(Example copy taken from <http://getsatisfaction.com/facebook/>)
Good one. Will do.

Allow leaders to edit the leader list on groups
plannedLeaders should be able to edit the leader list because this will change from year to year.
Great idea! We'll start working on it soon. Thanks again for the suggestion.

I think you should have a page to clarify
I think that you should have a page to clarify what some of the buttons and symbols mean. I accidently deleted myself as a leader of a group. I had to get readded as a leader of my group. If I had a question about adding a picture to my profile or how to add leaders to a group page. Have a FAQ's page or something for these items. It's not something urgent, but it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
Definitely! We're planning on expanding the help section with an FAQ and will be adding in little clues as to what stuff does.
We're focused on making it actually do cool stuff first, then explaining it. So we're in a little gap where we are still finishing features before going back to explain them better.
I think you'll be excited when the new stuff comes out shortly.
Thanks for the suggestion, it really helps us focus on the right things.

In admin, add an edit button so user&grp click go to them
Right now, in the admin, whenever I click on a group or user it goes to the edit screen. Most of the time I actually want to see the user or group, so I would prefer it did that by default and edit was separate.

add institutions which aren't in the US
You only support the US. That is a sad indictment of, well, US-centric thinking :-)
We will support any school anywhere, just send us an email with your school name and we'll be happy to set it up. We will support you.
Our pre-populated list is about 90% of US schools, simply because we have not yet found a good list of all colleges globally. If you know of one, please send a link : )
Your point is well taken and we are very sorry we don't yet have the resources to translate the app into other languages.

Allow Admin to Drill down on stats dashboard
On the Admin Stats dashboard, the admin should be able to click on any dashboard and get a more detailed report.

Designated space for events created in FB
I think we should have a space in the group profile that is designated for events that are made through FB. That way students can check the group profile to see what events they are working on and maybe want to help with.
Right, this would be great. Do you know if FB does anyone sort of calendar feed that we can grab onto?
Otherwise the leaders would have to enter it twice, once in Facebook and once in Red Rover. I don't think they would - the benefit wouldn't justify the work . . .
Would be great to see the "next event" on the group profile page though. Definitely with you on that.

Let the students develop RR
I think we should add some type of function that would allow students to dictate what direction RR should go in. One idea I had for this was putting a forum in for every school. If we see that students dont use the forum then its easily cut-able. My thinking behind this follows: If we find that students visit this site because they want to get involved, perhaps they are in a certain mind set that could carry over to other decisions. For instance, Joe Smith freshmen is new to college and wants to get involved so he goes to RR and types in some tags, or maybe sees what groups there are. Maybe he also wants to see what programs those groups are doing and goes to the forum and asks what groups are doing. All of a sudden groups start posting up often what is going happening on the campus. Maybe they start to try and sell/buy stuff. Perhaps the wiki is the medium your wanting to use, but an open message board might work too. Even offering multiple "blank slates" for students to develop on, wiki, forum, etc would allow us to see what medium is preferred.

allow adding people as friends
We will be integrating more Facebook functionality into Red Rover over time. We don't want anyone to need to maintain two separate friends lists, but we can import your current FB friends into RR and let you request to be FB friends from within RR.
Seems like that's the best of both worlds : )
What do you think?

be able to send the application via facebook to other users.
Would it be easier to spread the word regarding red rover to other groups if they could suggest it to a friend...like the other applications.
We will do this, it was just a low priority because we find application spam so annoying.
We also wanted to see how Facebook was going to shake out the Spammy apps.
